You should run the Athens marathon this October. It is the 2500 year anniversary of the original marathon run.

Great post!
Here are some I would add:
Go to a tapas restaurant in Spain
Ride a camel in Egypt
Go around the world on a container ship
Ride the Trans Siberian rail
Burning Man festival
If you ever need a traveling companion for any of these, please call!
I love this list! Every other week we drive an hour to visit Sean's parents and the drive is always spent dreaming of what our next big adventure will be. Hopefully next up will be the beaches of Brazil.
You've got a couple of surprising ones. Visiting the redwoods is near the top of my list, too, though.
To Missy, I've been on a container ship and seen the passenger cabins. Yes, you can book them at a decent rate, and the tour was super interesting, but you'd have to like a quiet vacation with a lot of reading, because there's not much to do on a container ship between ports besides watch movies with the crew at night.
Besides the redwoods, I'd like to see Jerusalem, Thailand, Rome, and Scotland (maybe on the same trip we walk across England if you invite me), hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, parachute from a plane, and maybe enter an open water swim in a fun place like Hawaii. Also, I plan to live in a foreign country at least one more time, hopefully more.
