Easter was spent with Grandma and Grandpa in their condo in San Diego. We had a wonderful time, but I realized that there are very few Easter traditions that actually center around our Savior. I do our egg hunt on Saturday and keep it low key without presents, but I still want to
incorporate more meaningful traditions. What do you do in your house to keep this a spiritual holiday? I would love to hear.

This is still a work in progress at our house too. I think the key is to fully observe Holy Week. I moved our egg hunt to Easter morning when I became more aware of Holy Week. The joy and celebration seemed more appropriate for Easter Sunday than for Saturday, when we are still supposed to be somber and mourning.
We do a fun family night on Easter, you can find this lesson at most LDS websites, but it is the one with the 12 plastic eggs in an egg carton and each one has a scripture telling about Christ's death and resurrection and in each egg is a small object that helps explain the story (i.e. a thorn for this crown of thorns, a small bar of soap for Pilate washing his hands of the matter, a piece of white linen for the shroud Jesus's body was wrapped in, etc. etc. and then of course the last egg is empty - to represent the empty tomb.) My kids LOVE this lesson they love opening up the eggs and even Ethan understood the basic story. Anyways - we do a couple other things along with the lesson (watch the last part of the Lamb of God, etc.) but its all nice to keep stuff centered around the true meaning (by the way this is Megan posting this - not Jeff!) :)
My family goes to church on easter of course and we take a picture with the cross as a reminder of what the day is about!
